Joyfully Connecting Our Community with the Wonder of the Refuge

Extended Learning - Volunteers/Members ONLY

  • September 25, 2014
  • 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM
  • Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge

Sometimes we get lucky and see lots of wildlife on the trail. Other times, it's the scat and tracks that tell us what and where wildlife has been. Poop, aka scat, can tell us a lot about an animal. Tracks tell us who lives on the refuge, their movements,  and has the potential to clue us in on habitat health. Join our very own Volunteer Naturalist, Scatologist, and Trackmeister, Dennis Deck, for a fun and fascinating morning on everything you ever wanted to know about poop and footprints but didn't even know to ask.  Lots of artifacts, replicas, and activities to solidify this important knowledge.

For more information about this program and volunteering at the refuge please contact Rachel Miller at rmiller@friendsoftualatinrefuge.org.
