Joyfully Connecting Our Community with the Wonder of the Refuge

National Public Lands Day

  • September 13, 2014
  • 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM
  • 19255 SW Pacific Hwy, Sherwood OR 97140

The Friends of Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge are proud to host an event honoring National Public Lands Day! We will be removing invasive plants from around the refuge.

The spread of invasive plant species upsets the balance of our natural ecosystems.  By working together to control these invasive plants, we can make a difference for our native wildlife species and their habitats!

REI, Inc. is our event sponsor and will be giving away T Shirts to all volunteers.  In addition, volunteers will receive a Fee Free Coupon for national parks and refuges. (While supplies last.)

Come join us as we celebrate National Public Lands Day, and help us maintain a healthy living environment for our wildlife.

Please bring gloves, work clothes and a water bottle.  Water and tools will be provided.
